Example of the English proficiency required scores by the host university: IELTS at least 5.5 in each component * for UG students going for a one-semester exchange a Statement of Language Proficiency from the home university suffices (if no Student visa is required) More on the accepted English test results on: https://www.city.ac.uk/prospective-students/apply/entry-requirements#english IMPORTANT CHANGE IN VISA REGULATIONS FROM 2025/2026: The UK Government is introducing an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) for travellers entering the UK for up to six months. This change will impact students who could previously enter the UK as a visitor without applying for a visa in advance. This includes, but is not limited to, EU, EEA, US, Canadian, Australian and Japanese nationals. If you are going to enter the UK after 8 January 2025, you will need to apply for an ETA! A Marco Polo grant covers part of the travel and accommodation expenses involved in studying abroad. At the moment the Marco Polo grant has been set at € 390 per calendar month. This may change per academic year. Your application for an exchange period at one of the Faculty's partner universities also counts as your application for a grant. When you receive notification of a place for study abroad, you will also learn more about the Marco Polo grant. |
