About the University	The University of Deusto first opened its doors in 1886. Its birth was the result of the combined concerns and cultural interests of the Basque Country, which wished to have a university of its own, and of the Jesuit Fathers, who wanted to move their school of higher studies from La Guardia (Pontevedra) to a more central location. The chosen site was Bilbao, a bustling seaport and commercial city that at the time was enjoying considerable industrial growth.

Extra requirements	You would need to provide a proof of your English proficiency: an equivalent to a CEFR level B2 at the moment of application and C1 at the moment of departure.
Important information	There is a limited course offer in English. However please note that the University of Deusto requires a minimum number of students to sign in to teach the course in English, if the number is not achieved then the lecture will be taught in Spanish.

Financial support / Grants	More information on study and placement grants for law students can be found at the website www.rug.nl/law/lep. An Erasmus+ grant covers part of the travel and accommodation expenses involved in studying abroad. At the moment the Erasmus+ grant has been set at € 240 - € 360 per calendar month, depending on the country of your host university. This may change per academic year. Your application for an exchange period at one of the Faculty's partner universities also counts as your application for a grant. When you receive notification of a place for study abroad, you will also learn whether or not you have been awarded a Erasmus grant and receive more information on the Erasmus grant
